L-Shaped Modern Day Family Members House In Bangkok, Thailand: YAK01 Home

A modest modern day family members in Thailand commissioned the creative group at Ayutt and Associates Style to create their dream residence in Bangkok, Thailand. YAK01 Residence is an imposing L-shaped creating, alternating open and closed spaces and benefiting from outdoor space. Inspired from the layout of a Thai classic property, the project makes the most of the central courtyard, which functions as a foyer ahead of accessing the major living area.

Structurally and functionally, the residence is described by the architects as follows: “The principal living space is positioned in the center as the floating pavilion where the loved ones can take pleasure in the outside garden and swimming pool. The master bedroom upstairs is completely cantilevered over the whole length of front foyer. It is designed in a cubic shape to generate function architectural element. The other two bedrooms are positioned on yet another side of the property by extending on leading of the swimming pool on a cantilevered concrete slab enclosed by a huge glass wall with black aluminum cladding“. A generously-sized swimming was positioned  parallel to the developing in order to direct cool air into the property.
