The use of wooden louvered screening that cover the floor-to-ceiling windows on the exterior of this modern dream house is ingenious. Pitsou Kedem Architecture, based in Tel Aviv, designed this distinct residence for a family members in Kfar Shmaryahu, Israel. The method of screens serves several purposes in both the function and decor of the residence. When closed the screens lay flush with the surface of the external walls but strategically placed hinges permit them to open in various directions. This pattern of multi-directionally opening screens can be used to generate outdoor rooms and when the screens are opened the house takes on quite distinct exterior dimensions. The screens are also extremely effective in moderating both privacy and all-natural lighting inside the home.

The principal level on the interior of the house has a pretty open floor strategy that consists of a living area, loved ones room, dining room and kitchen. A powder space is also positioned on this level close to the primary entryway. Toward the front and center of the dwelling is an architectural staircase leading to the second and reduce levels of the property. It is produced of wood and glass and is supported by a central, industrial looking concrete wall. The contrast of the wood stair treads against the glass railing and concrete wall offers a brilliant focal point and aids to clearly define the living spaces. The material palette is minimal and consists primarily of organic colored concrete surfaces and white walls. Both wood and glass accenting components are intermingled with the principal materials for some warmth and shine. The second level is comprised of 3 bedrooms and a grand master suite. Two bedrooms are connected by means of a Jack-and-Jill style bathroom with the further guest area possessing a private bathroom. The second level also has an attached terrace that cantilevers over the more than level.

The rear of the property open onto a beautiful walk out patio above which the second floor balcony sets. There is a entirely glazed surface on the rear facade of the residence and patio is inset inside the main structural walls. This could be to improve privacy for each the interior of the residence and the patio space. The style may also serve to protect the patio from the components enabling it to be enjoyed even if the weather is maybe imperfect.

Behind the residence is a lovely green space and sparkling blue pool with a pool home at the rear of the home. The whole home seems to be surrounded by a protective white washed and industrial seeking cement that appears quite comparable to the structure inside the house that supports that staircase. To the left side of the front wall is a gated vehicle entry. The landscaping around the home compliments its minimalistic design and style and creates a private oasis in the rear of the residence.
